The Schuessler's have served in the Bahamas for over 14 years. During that time they have had the opportunity to start 5 churches while reaching over 3,900 for Jesus. In addition, they have brought 3 struggling churches back to health in 3 different island countries while helping re-launch another church in Nassau Bahamas. The Schuessler's are also involved in equipping church leaders in Haiti and Trinidad as well as in the Bahamas. They are also looking to establish an orphanage rescuing throw away children in the Dominican Republic.

Spiritually, the Bahamas are a mixture of different beliefs.

More traditional practices related to witchcraft and known to scholars as voodoo or Obeah continue to be observed in some areas.
